Aditya Mandan’s Story – Embracing Limitless Potential

Introduction

I am Aditya Mandan, born on 7th May 1983, currently residing in Navi Mumbai. I hold a
Masters in Information Technology from The University of Sydney and work as a Product
Escalation Manager at Deque Systems. Additionally, I am the founder and empowerment
coach at STRENTOR.

Early Life and Medical Background

I was born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele and Hydrocephalus, conditions that posed
significant challenges from the start. One of the most significant obstacles was gaining
admission to schools, as many were not accessible, and there was a lack of awareness
about my condition. Some even suggested I be placed in a school for the mentally
challenged. This led to a slower social development despite my talkative nature, limiting my
exposure to the outside world.

Medical Interventions and Support

To manage my condition, I underwent multiple surgeries aimed at minimizing the effects of
my birth defects, correcting clubfoot, and addressing orthopedic impairments. A shunt was
installed to drain excess fluid from my head. I was fortunate to have a supportive network of
medical professionals within my family, including my Mama Ji, Dr. Rajan Luthra, and Mami
Ji, Dr. Chandrayee Luthra, along with family friend Dr. Gadre. My biggest pillars of support
and mentors have always been my parents and elder brother.

Development and Hobbies

While academics were not my primary focus, I found my passion in music and exercising.
My breakthrough came through a fitness trainer who recognized my potential in lifting heavy
weights, which led me to pursue para-powerlifting. This journey was further shaped by
mentors like Bhushan Sir, Vikram Sir, Darekar Sir, and Raghu Sir.

Achievements and Milestones

Although I never qualified for the international level, I reached the national level in
para-powerlifting. I became a district and state champion multiple times and was once
named the Strongman of Mumbai. My achievements extend beyond sports; I have over 10
medals in para-powerlifting, workplace awards, and the Achievers Award from the Spina
Bifida Organization of India. Recently, my initiative, STRENTOR, won the “Most Trusted
Online Platform for Physical, Mental & Emotional Mentorship,” an award nominated by our
clients.

Support and Sponsorship

My family has been my unwavering support system and sponsors. Their constant
encouragement enabled me to achieve my goals and even become a certified fitness trainer.

Challenges and Overcoming Adversity

Throughout my life, I have been declared dead multiple times but have always bounced back
stronger, embodying the resilience of a Phoenix. Each setback only strengthened my resolve
and determination.

Vision and Future Goals

Through STRENTOR, I aim to build a future where individuals with physical, mental, or
emotional challenges can achieve their dreams and aspirations. We mentor them to become
independent and resilient, helping them overcome adversity and succeed. Our mission is to
be partners in their journey, providing support and solutions to help them live life without
limits.

Inspirational Message

To those facing similar challenges, I offer this advice: “Maut ke darr se agar zinda rehna
chhod diya to maut kise kehte hain. Jab tak zinda hun mara nahin, aur jab marr gaya to main
hi nahin, to phir darr kis baat ka!” Live your life to the fullest. Pursue your dreams and
embrace the present moment without worrying about the future.

Aditya’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the support of
loved ones. He continues to inspire and empower others to live their lives without limits.
